Kunsthal Charlottenborg is one of the largest spaces for contemporary art in Europe, presenting an ambitious programme of exhibitions and events with a strong international focus.
Charlottenborg mounts three seasons per year, each of which contains a large retrospective or survey exhibition, a mid-size solo exhibition, and a range of other events - including talks, performances and screenings.
This spread of activities is designed to speak to a wide range of audiences, making Charlottenborg important for contemporary art in the city.
The café sells a range of delicious open sandwiches and homemade cakes, as well as coffee, ice cream, wine and draught beer. The café is open during gallery hours.
The independent bookstore offers a distinctive selection of books and magazines, including publications in the fields of fine art, critical design, typography, literature and theory.
The bookshop is open during gallery hours.
