Welcome to the shelters at Fugledegård on Tissø

All three shelters at Fuglegård open eastwards onto the lake to provide shelter from the westerly wind. The three shelters are specially designed for use by people with special needs. There is a fresh water tap and a toilet for the disabled in a small building nearby. Tables and benches at one end of the wooden building look out over Tissø.

The bird watching tower by the lake is open to the general public. You can light a fire in the concrete ring but you must either bring along your own firewood or order it from the nature guide. For the time being you are permitted to spend a single night in the shelters as long as they are not already occupied. Large groups (6+ people) should book with the nature guide:
