'The Monk's Hill' - Munkebakken - is part of a 10 km. ridge - Mogenstrup Aas - which is the result of glacial deposits from the end of the last Ice Age. There is a legend about the so-called 'Fladsaa Troll'. He became so angry with the noise from St. Peter's Church bells, that he took a sack of sand and set out for Naestved to bury the town. (Un)fortunately there was a hole in the sack, so the sand trickled out forming this ridge. Material: concrete. Height: approx. 5 m.
